Ketamine before surgery may cut pain after Weight-Loss procedure

Summary

This study tests whether giving ketamine before laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (a type of weight-loss surgery) can reduce pain after the operation. Researchers will compare how long it takes for patients to need extra pain medicine. The study includes 90 adults with a BMI between 35 and 60 who are otherwise healthy or have well-controlled diabetes or high blood pressure.
