Ketamine tested as new pain blocker for weight loss surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether giving the drug ketamine before surgery can better control pain after a common weight loss procedure called laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Researchers will compare ketamine against a standard pain control method in 90 patients. The main goal is to see if ketamine helps patients need less additional pain medication after their operation.
