First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a low dose of ketamine can help reduce the amount of strong painkillers (opioids) needed after a type of aortic repair surgery called TEVAR. About 30 adults having this surgery will receive either ketamine or a placebo, and their pain levels and opioid use will be tracked for 48 hours. The goal is to find a safer way to manage pain after surgery.
