Ketamine infusion trial offers hope for debilitating daily headaches

NCT ID NCT05306899

Summary

This study is testing if a single, high-dose intravenous (IV) ketamine infusion can reduce the frequency and severity of chronic daily headaches. About 56 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the ketamine infusion or a saline (placebo) infusion. Researchers will measure how many headache days participants have, their pain levels, and their quality of life over three months to see if ketamine provides lasting relief.
