Faster eye treatment put to the test in Year-Long study

NCT ID NCT07194538

Summary

This study followed patients with keratoconus, a condition where the cornea thins and bulges, for one year after treatment. It compared a standard 30-minute corneal cross-linking procedure with a newer, faster 10-minute version to see which was better at stopping the disease from getting worse. Doctors measured changes in the shape of the eye and patients' vision to understand the long-term results of each treatment approach.
