Radiation zaps keloids without the knife in new pilot study

Summary

This study tests if radiation therapy can safely shrink or stop the growth of keloids (raised scars) when surgery is not possible or declined. About 15 adults with keloids will receive radiation alone. Researchers will track side effects and measure changes in scar size over time.
