Summary

This study is testing whether adding kefir, a fermented milk drink, to the diet can help obese children manage their weight and improve related health issues. It will involve 60 children with a body mass index above the 95th percentile for their age. Researchers aim to see if kefir can help reduce body weight, improve insulin sensitivity, and lessen fatty liver, based on promising results seen in animal studies.
