C-Section comfort: does immediate baby cuddling help?

NCT ID NCT07223775

Summary

This study looked at whether having mothers hold their newborns skin-to-skin right in the operating room after a planned C-section could help. Researchers wanted to see if this 'kangaroo care' improved the mother's pain, satisfaction, and recovery, and the baby's initial health. They compared these outcomes in mothers who received this immediate contact versus those who did not.
