Skin-to-Skin contact: does it boost breast milk quality for fragile babies?

NCT ID NCT06047470

Summary

This study aims to understand how Kangaroo Care—holding a baby skin-to-skin—affects breast milk for parents whose newborns are in the NICU and cannot breastfeed directly. Researchers are measuring changes in milk volume, calories, and nutrients, and asking parents and staff about their experiences. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve support for families during a stressful time.
