New treatment tested for debilitating side effect of cancer drugs

Summary
This early-stage study aims to test the safety of an experimental drug called KAN-004 in cancer patients who develop severe diarrhea or colon inflammation as a side effect of their immunotherapy treatment. The trial will enroll 21 adults to see how well they tolerate the drug and monitor for any side effects. Researchers are looking for patients whose severe symptoms haven't improved with standard steroid treatments.
