Toys vs. needles: can a kaleidoscope make dentist visits less scary for kids?

NCT ID NCT07462364

Summary

This study is testing if simple, drug-free distraction techniques can make dental visits easier for children. Researchers will see if letting kids use a kaleidoscope or watch cartoons during a numbing injection reduces their pain, fear, and anxiety. The study involves 126 children aged 7 to 12 and compares these fun distractions to the standard dental procedure.
