New gel may reduce uterine scarring after surgery

Summary

This study tested a special gel called Juveena that is placed in the uterus after certain gynecologic surgeries. The goal was to see if it could safely reduce or prevent scar tissue (adhesions) from forming. 150 women at high risk for scarring took part, and the results were compared to those who had surgery alone.
