Summary
This completed Phase 2/3 trial tested JUVÉDERM VOLITE, an injectable gel, to improve skin quality in 135 adults with fine lines and poor hydration. Participants either received the gel or no treatment, with the control group offered the gel after 2 months. The study measured aesthetic improvement and side effects over 12 months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
JUVÉDERM VOLITE injectable gel
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-surgical option to improve skin hydration and radiance, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with 135 participants in China, so results may not apply to everyone. As a cosmetic device, benefits are aesthetic and not life-changing.
