NCT ID NCT07247266
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This early-phase trial is testing an experimental drug called JTE-162 in 5 adults with CAPS, a rare condition that causes fever, rash, and joint pain. Participants take one tablet daily for 2 weeks. Researchers will check if the drug safely reduces inflammation and improves symptoms. Because this is a very small, short study, it is mainly about safety and finding the right dose.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
JTE-162 (an experimental drug taken as a tablet once daily)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new daily treatment to control CAPS symptoms and reduce inflammation.
What could go wrong
This is a very early, tiny study (only 5 people) testing safety and short-term effects. It may not work or could have side effects. Much more research is needed.
