New hope for lung cancer patients when targeted drugs stop working

NCT ID NCT06868836

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new drug called JS207, a bispecific antibody that targets PD-1 and VEGF, in combination with chemotherapy or another experimental drug (JS212) for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has specific gene mutations. The participants have already tried and failed targeted therapy (TKI). The goal is to see if these combinations are safe and can shrink tumors. About 78 people will take part.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
JS207 (PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody) combined with chemotherapy (pemetrexed plus carboplatin or cisplatin) or with JS212
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced lung cancer whose current targeted therapy has stopped working.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 78 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The combination therapies may cause significant side effects, and there is no guarantee they will shrink tumors or extend life.
