New antibody JS203 takes on rituximab in Head-to-Head lymphoma trial
NCT ID NCT07808827
First seen Sep 09, 2026 · Last updated Sep 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
Researchers are testing whether an experimental antibody called JS203, added to gemcitabine and oxaliplatin chemotherapy, helps adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) that has come back or stopped responding to treatment. The trial compares this combination against the standard regimen of rituximab plus the same two chemotherapy drugs. About 282 people aged 18 to 75 with CD20-positive DLBCL will take part. The main goal is to see if JS203 plus chemotherapy helps people live longer than the standard approach.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- JS203, an experimental antibody drug that targets CD20 on lymphoma cells, given with gemcitabine and oxaliplatin chemotherapy
- What this could lead to
- If JS203 works better than rituximab, it could give people with relapsed or refractory DLBCL another treatment option that may extend survival.
- What could go wrong
- JS203 is still experimental, and combining it with chemotherapy may cause serious side effects. The trial may show it is no better than the standard rituximab regimen, and results in this selected group may not apply to everyone.
