First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a new, simpler method called JINS for placing drug-coated stents in heart arteries. The goal was to see if it could safely open blocked arteries while reducing extra radiation and complications from additional balloon inflations. The study involved 161 people with acute coronary syndrome who needed a stent. The approach used imaging to guide the procedure and aimed for specific stent size and placement targets.
