First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a device called the JETi system, which uses a special catheter to break up and remove blood clots in the veins and arteries of the arms and legs. Twelve adults in Hong Kong took part, and researchers checked how well the device cleared clots and monitored for serious side effects like bleeding or re-clotting for up to 30 days. The goal was to see if the device is safe and effective for treating acute or subacute clots in real-world settings.
