Scientists test hormone cocktail to beat jet lag
NCT ID NCT00097474
Summary
This study tested whether taking hydrocortisone (a stress hormone), melatonin (a sleep hormone), or both could help travelers feel less jet-lagged. It involved 57 healthy adults taking a planned eastward flight across 6 to 8 time zones. Participants took the study pills for four days after arrival and tracked their symptoms to see if the treatments helped their bodies adjust faster.
