Summary
This study tested a program called Jenga Dada ("Build a Woman Up" in Swahili) for women in Kenya who are part of community economic groups. The goal was to help them prevent intimate partner violence and unintended pregnancy by building confidence, economic skills, and support from other group members. 238 women aged 15 and older took part in a pilot study to see if the program improved their ability to cope with abuse and use family planning.
