New jawbone graft study aims to spare patients a second surgery

NCT ID NCT07419269

Summary

This study is testing if using donor bone (allograft) works as well as using a patient's own bone (autograft) to rebuild jawbone for dental implants. The goal is to see if the donor bone is just as safe and effective, which could spare patients from having a second surgery to harvest their own bone. Researchers will measure bone growth, safety, and how well the dental implants hold up over five years.
