ER app aims to turn waiting time into lifesaving support for suicide prevention

Summary
This study tests a smartphone app called Jaspr Health for people who come to the emergency department with suicidal thoughts or a recent suicide attempt. The app provides evidence-based tools and support during the wait time. Researchers will track whether the app reduces suicide attempts and related hospital visits over the next year. About 670 adults in Massachusetts who own a smartphone and read English at a 6th grade level can join.
