New hope for tough pancreatic cancer? drug combo targets KRAS mutations
NCT ID NCT07640295
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new drug called JAB-23E73, which targets KRAS gene changes, combined with two standard chemotherapies (nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine) in people whose pancreatic cancer has spread and who haven't had prior treatment. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and shrinks tumors. About 80 participants will take part in this early-phase trial.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
JAB-23E73 (a pan KRAS inhibitor) combined with nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine chemotherapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with a hard-to-treat form of pancreatic cancer that has spread.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug combination may cause significant side effects or fail to improve outcomes.
