New eye gel could make cataract surgery safer

Summary

This study tests a new surgical gel, IXIUM TWIN, designed to protect the eye during cataract surgery. Researchers will compare it to an already approved gel to see if it causes less damage to the eye's inner lining. About 180 adults having cataract surgery will take part, and their eye health will be monitored for 90 days after the procedure.
