Cancer drug repurposed in bold bid to tame MS

Summary
This early-stage study is checking if a drug called ixazomib, used for a type of blood cancer, is safe for people with multiple sclerosis (MS). The goal is to see if it can reduce harmful antibodies linked to MS in the fluid around the brain and spine. About 72 participants with different types of MS will take either the real drug or a placebo (dummy pill) for up to two years.
