Summary
This study tested the chemotherapy drug ixabepilone in 13 people with advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose disease had stopped responding to two common types of chemotherapy (anthracyclines and taxanes). The goal was to see if the drug could shrink tumors or slow the cancer. However, the trial was terminated early, meaning it did not meet its goals or was stopped for other reasons.
