First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a dry powder form of ivy leaf extract (Syrup Prospan) works better than a common drug called N-acetylcysteine (NAC) at reducing cough and mucus in people with COPD. About 100 adults with stable COPD will take one of the two treatments for a set period. Researchers will track how cough affects daily life and overall quality of life to see which option provides more relief.
