First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a new technology called IVUS-FFR that uses ultrasound images from inside heart arteries to quickly check if a blockage is serious enough for a stent. Unlike the current test, it doesn't need extra wires or medication that can cause discomfort. About 292 adults with heart artery narrowing will take part across multiple hospitals in China.
