Brain fog breakthrough? NIH tests IV drip for long COVID

NCT ID NCT05350774

Summary

This study is testing if a treatment called intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) can help reduce neurological symptoms in people with Long COVID, such as brain fog, dizziness, and fatigue. About 45 adults who had COVID-19 at least 12 weeks ago and still have these symptoms will receive either the IVIG treatment or a placebo saline drip for comparison. Researchers will measure changes in thinking, daily function, and quality of life to see if the treatment provides meaningful relief.
