First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compares two hormone protocols used during IVF to stimulate the ovaries: progestin-primed stimulation versus the standard GnRH antagonist protocol. The goal is to see if the progestin method is as effective at leading to an ongoing pregnancy (a heartbeat at 12 weeks). The trial involves 626 women aged 18-40 with a BMI of 25 or less and good ovarian reserve. Participants are randomly assigned to one of the two treatments.
