Can a simple painkiller calm kids after surgery?
NCT ID NCT07576985
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether giving IV Tylenol (acetaminophen) during surgery helps reduce pain and agitation in children aged 7 or younger who are having their tonsils or adenoids removed. Researchers will compare kids at two hospitals—one that uses IV Tylenol and one that doesn't—using standard pain and agitation scales. The goal is to see if this common medicine improves recovery right after surgery.
