Finding the steadiest hand for your IV
NCT ID NCT06518187
Summary
This study aimed to find the safest way to slide the plastic tube (catheter) off the needle during an IV start. Researchers watched how much the needle tip moved when nurses used one hand, two hands, or had a helper do it. The goal was to identify which technique causes the least needle movement to improve patient comfort and safety.
