NCT ID NCT04228627

Summary

This study tested if giving pregnant women intravenous (IV) iron could prevent them from developing anemia and help their babies grow properly. It involved 600 pregnant women in Pakistan who had low iron levels but were not yet anemic. Researchers compared giving a complete course of IV iron against the standard care of taking daily iron pills.
