New ER treatment could help kids with anemia recover faster

NCT ID NCT07414199

Summary

This study is testing if giving children with iron deficiency anemia an intravenous (IV) iron treatment right in the emergency room is a good idea. Researchers will compare this new approach to how kids were treated in the past, looking to see if it helps them recover from anemia faster, reduces hospital stays, and avoids the need for blood transfusions. The goal is to find a better, more efficient way to manage this common condition in kids.
