New drug combo targets stubborn blood disorder in adults

NCT ID NCT07362199

Summary

This study is testing whether combining two existing drugs, rituximab and daratumumab, can help adults with a hard-to-treat form of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). ITP is a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks platelets, causing a risk of easy bruising and bleeding. The trial is for people whose ITP has not improved or has come back after trying standard treatments like steroids.
