Summary
This study tests whether itopride, a drug that helps the stomach empty faster, can reduce the risk of food or liquid entering the lungs during anesthesia in people taking semaglutide. About 60 diabetic patients scheduled for hysterectomy will receive itopride or a placebo before surgery. The goal is to see if itopride lowers leftover stomach contents after 8 hours of fasting.
