First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called iTBS for people with moderate depression. 73 adults received either real or fake (sham) magnetic pulses to the left front of the brain daily for two weeks. The goal was to see if the real treatment reduces depressive symptoms more than the sham, and to explore why some people respond better than others.
