Summary
This study aimed to create an Italian version of a test that helps doctors assess swallowing problems (dysphagia) in people with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and ALS. Swallowing problems are common and can lead to serious complications like pneumonia. The researchers translated the English test and checked its accuracy in 101 Italian patients to help doctors detect these issues earlier.
