First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a new Italian version of the Braden QDS scale can accurately predict the risk of pressure injuries (bedsores) in newborns admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Researchers will enroll 600 infants under 28 days old and weighing less than 5 kg. The goal is to see if this tool, which includes risk from medical devices, works better than current methods to help prevent these injuries.
