First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a drug called itacitinib combined with steroids to treat acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) in children. aGVHD is a serious complication after a stem cell transplant where donor cells attack the child's body. The trial was stopped early after only 2 participants enrolled, so we have very limited information on how well the treatment works.
