First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single session of isometric exercise (holding a muscle contraction without moving) can quickly reduce pain sensitivity and pain intensity in adults with chronic low back pain. Researchers will measure pain thresholds before and after exercise in 90 participants. The goal is to see if this type of exercise can provide immediate, drug-free pain relief.
