Last-Resort sedation offered for agitated ICU patients
NCT ID NCT07457593
Summary
This program provides access to an inhaled sedative (isoflurane) for critically ill adults on breathing machines in the ICU who cannot be adequately calmed with standard IV medications. It is for patients who remain agitated, harm themselves, or develop serious side effects from current drugs. The goal is to help these difficult-to-sedate patients achieve comfort and safety when other options have failed.
