New drug ISM8969 begins first human safety tests

Summary
This early-phase study tests the safety and tolerability of a new oral drug called ISM8969 in healthy adults, elderly adults, and obese adults at risk for heart disease. About 100 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo to check for side effects and how the drug moves through the body. The goal is to gather initial safety data before moving to larger trials.
