Can a Super-Grain stop malnutrition in kids?

NCT ID NCT02233764

Summary

This study tested whether feeding young children a special type of pearl millet, naturally bred to have more iron and zinc, could prevent deficiencies and improve their health. Over 200 children in India, aged 12-18 months, ate meals made with this enriched millet for nine months. Researchers compared their growth, iron levels, and immune system responses to children who ate regular millet.
