Doctors get iron deficiency alerts in major heart failure study
NCT ID NCT07467668
Summary
This study aims to see if sending doctors guideline reminders about iron deficiency treatment changes how often they give IV iron to hospitalized heart failure patients. It will compare outcomes between hospitals where doctors receive these reminders and hospitals where they don't. The research will track if this change in doctor behavior leads to fewer hospital visits and lower risk of death for patients over the following year.
