First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at how taking iron supplements for two weeks changes blood sugar and insulin levels in overweight women. 70 women will be randomly assigned to take either a high or low dose of iron daily. Researchers will measure blood sugar and insulin before, during, and after the supplement period to see if iron affects how the body processes sugar.
