Can iron pills calm Kids' brains and improve sleep?
NCT ID NCT04144790
Summary
This small pilot study explored whether giving iron supplements to children with ADHD and restless legs syndrome could improve their symptoms by increasing iron levels in their brains. Researchers followed 12 children aged 10-15 for three months, measuring brain iron with MRI scans and tracking ADHD and sleep symptoms before and after treatment. The main goal was to gather initial evidence to see if a larger, more definitive study would be worthwhile.
