Summary
This completed study looked at 128 adults with chronic kidney disease (not on dialysis) who also had iron-deficiency anemia. Researchers compared two intravenous iron treatments—ferric carboxymaltose and iron sucrose—to see which raises hemoglobin and iron levels better and with fewer side effects.
