Summary

This study is testing a new type of heart stent that is made of iron and designed to dissolve in the body over time. It is being compared to a standard, permanent metal stent in 518 patients with coronary artery disease. The main goal is to see if the new dissolving stent is as safe and effective at keeping arteries open two years after the procedure.
