Iron study reveals how supplements work in women with low iron
NCT ID NCT07563686
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at how well healthy women with low iron stores absorb iron from two types of supplements (Spatone™ and ferrous sulphate) at three different doses (5, 10, and 15 mg). Fourteen women took part, and their iron absorption was measured using a special stable isotope technique. The goal was to understand which dose and supplement type works best for improving iron levels.
